Citing a rise in pedestrian accidents, Cincinnati City Council is considering a proposal to ban right turns on red lights downtown. Councilmember Meeka Owens introduced the proposal, which, if passed, would make Cincinnati one of a growing number of cities — including New York City and Washington D.C. — to enact such bans in dense urban areas.
The proposed ban would apply to the area bordered by the Ohio River to the south, Central Parkway to the north, I-71 to the east, and Ezzard Charles Drive
